This week we faced magnolia and we swept them. Jv baseball is doing really good in league haven't lost a game yet. At first we started off slow and scored a few in the first innings then later on in the game we scored more.

We'll were half way through season and it's been a really good year so far for JV baseball. Everyday we have been working our hardest and looking forward for that league championship. Usually on the day before a game we do live hitting. The frosh and jv teams serperate into 5 groups. With 2 groups that shag and on group is off to the side hitting wiffle balls and the other group is hitting off the tee. And of course the last group is hitting live off coach Cortez. We will continue working on our batting so we can transform that into the game and hit the ball hard.

Blog #6

Lately Savanna baseball hasn't been winning a lot of games. It's not because of the talent, we have a young team but we have so much good talent on our team. We just haven't really have the right mental thought. Our coaches have noticed that some of us play scared or Nervous and not our best because of the mental thought. Baseball is game of mental thought you have to think that you will succeed every time you step up to the plate. If you don't you will fail, baseball is also a game of failure. Coach has spent a lot of time preparing us to have the right thought of the game. Earlier this month we sat in coaches room and listened to a tape of a retired baseball player. He was one of the smallest players but he still was able to make it to the major leagues. We are a young team but we have a lot of potential and talent.

As you can see of my previous blogs Savanna baseball is in season and is working hard. We have been working really hard on the field and also making out field look nice and beautiful. We have a really good baseball field and lots of teams says that it's one of the best in town. We are lucky to have our own such great field. After every game we rake the dirt base lines and the home plate and pitches mound. Our coaches but hard work and cut the our field and infield grass to make it look nice. If believe that if we look good we play good and that's a key part of the game. Schools like Anaheim and Katella don't have there own home varsity field they play at boysen and glover field. We are lucky we get our own home baseball field. And it's one of the best.

Blog #4

So now were in season and it's the best time of the year I love Baseball. Savanna baseball is the best. For jv we are 3-0 and looking for our next competition which is Katella. As of right now the varsity team is playing the lions tournament and they are 0-2 and have a game on Monday at 11:00 to continue the tournament. The varsity team is 2-2 in league. They beat Anaheim and valley and lost to century and magnolia. We worked hard all year and working our best to win the league championship. The jv team and varsity team beat Anaheim in extra innings both really good intense games. Those are the games we live for. We are learning that baseball is a mental game. We have to have confidence to win baseball games. We have a young team but if we have to right mental though with all the talent we have we have a really good talented baseball program . 

Blog #3

This week we have been working harder and harder. Getting better practicing everyday doing our best. We have a game this Saturday against Troy High School. It's gonna be a good hard game and we have to play our best. Our frosh and Varsity team also have a game this Saturday. Yesterday we had a scrimmage against frosh. Season is less than a month and it's time to go. We had all year to practice and work hard and now it's time to show what we can do. Mario my partner for this project is also working hard and doing his best to get better. This semester we will be posting about our games on our website. So you can know how we are going on our games. So we are trying our best to get a good grade on this project and to entertain you guys with our score on our game. Stay tuned. 

Blog #2

This week we have been working hard and doing our best in baseball. We had a game on Saturday but we lost 1-0. It was a good game but we couldn't get the right hit at the right time. On Monday when we had no school coach separated us into our 3 groups, frosh, jv and varsity. We got our new hats and and our new cleats there nice! I am on jv and maybe I word hard and do my best I could get called up for varsity for a few games. Each day we are getting closer to season it's right around the corner. Everybody is exited in the program. It's the best time if the year. We are getting that extra hack that extra throw and working hard giving it 110% everyday. We have been conditioning too. But it's good for us. Our next game is in 2 weeks.
